 View Full Size Image | Lindenberg 26, 1978, Hull #26 Designed by Lee Creekmore & quality built by Paul Lindenberg, this is the best racer/cruiser value available in this size range period. Bob Perry’s review says: “the L-26 is a successful attempt at combining boat speed with a very livable interior”. In reference to the “Klegecell” foam core sandwiched hull & deck he says: “It is rewarding to find a builder concerned with making his current yachts last rather than with the slightly higher cost of materials”. The “LINDY”s hull & deck are solid. Hull/keel sump joint professionally re-glassed around 2002 for $1500. Wetted surface has been epoxied with Interprotect 2000 & Anti-fouled with VC-17 (spiked). New Plexi windows & skylights. The old wood core sandwiched at window opening was stripped out and new ash epoxied in place and new custom interior molding/frames installed with windows to hide the screws from outside to make them strong & tight. New 3-piece Plexi washboards made at the same time. Head/Portipottie good - no leaks. (We've never used it & usually leave it off) No stove - removed & trim/molding installed around opening for a great spot to throw empty beer cans into while racing. Hull, deck & soles need paint & some re-finishing. Lazerette hatch needs re-glassing. Cushions need re-covering (or make all new). Mast stripped, wet sanded & polished including Rod Rigging. Boom left painted black. Hydraulic forestay system tight with new O-rings & gauge. New Jib Sheets, Spin Sheets, 3 Jib/Spin Halyards. (2009) Newer Plastimo Compass & Airmar Knotmeter with flapper. (2004) Newer Barient #21, 2-speed Genoa winches & 4 Lewmar halyard winches. Newer Spinnaker Pole. (2004) Motor: 8-HP Honda 4-cycle outboard with low hours & runs as new. Good, strong motor mount - easy to operate. Steel cradle with pads & bunks. Bunks added to distribute the load better & all are adjustable so you can easily get to work on the whole bottom. Racing sail inventory includes 3 Genoas: 155% AP (2008); 155% Lt (2009); 115% (2009); all of HPRL (High Performance Racing Laminate). 2 Spinnakers: AP of 0.6oz. Poly (2008); Light Runner of 0.5oz. Nylon (2009). Full Batten Main of 6oz. Dacron, Off Shore Construction (2008) plus older Staysail, Blooper etc. Low end values: Boat alone 5K; Cradle 800; Motor 700; Sails 9K Selling Price: $9,900.00.
